Entry threshold for occupational pension plan (BVG)

From a (gross) annual salary of CHF 22’050 (as of 2023) with an employer, one is compulsorily insured according to the BVG. Individuals who do not reach this entry threshold of CHF 22’050 are not compulsorily insured with a pension fund. Individuals who reach the entry threshold with several employers can, for example, take out voluntary insurance with the supplementary institution (Auffangeinrichtung).
