Inheritance law in Switzerland

If someone dies in Switzerland without leaving specific instructions in a will or inheritance contract, the Swiss Civil Code (Zivilgesetzbuch, ZGB) determines who inherits their assets. The right to inherit depends on the legal degree of family relationship, not on how close you were to the deceased person. Spouses and registered partners always receive special priority.

How can I invest in a staggered manner with VIAC?

At VIAC, the selected strategy is always implemented for all assets in a 3a portfolio or a vested benefits segment.

How does the process of trading and booking work at VIAC?

Trading at VIAC takes place weekly on Tuesdays (exception: there is no trading between Christmas and New Year). Deposits are therefore invested once a week and strategy changes can be implemented on a weekly basis.

How does VIAC Rewards work?

With the VIAC Reward program you can invite friends and acquaintances to VIAC in the app under the «Invite friends» function using a code. For each successful invitation you receive a free amount at VIAC. On this sum you no longer pay an administration fee at VIAC – for life!

How does the fee cap work at VIAC?

The VIAC administration fee is capped at a maximum of 0.40% per year. So regardless of your chosen strategy, you will not pay more than 0.40% administration fee per year to VIAC.

How is my total return calculated?

VIAC calculates the time-weighted return (TWR), which can sometimes be tricky to interpret

How is the large added value of VIAC created?

The most important added value for you as a customer is the massive fee advantage over the competitors. It’s quite simple – anyone who pays less fees has a higher profit, year after year.

It is not only the user-friendliness or high transparency that makes VIAC the best Pillar 3a solution.

How does the VIAC Autopilot work?

The intelligent VIAC system continuously monitors each individual portfolio. While deposits, transfers or strategy changes are invested or implemented on a weekly basis, the system also checks 1x monthly in the first rebalancing of the month whether the asset allocation of the portfolio has to be rebalanced to the target values of the defined strategy.

Why can I invest from CHF 1?

With VIAC’s 3rd pillar, anyone can invest from CHF 1 – without minimum fees, without any further payment obligations. With this one franc, you participate in the development of more than 2’500 companies worldwide in our standard strategies.

How does VIAC manage to be so much cheaper than its competitors?

It’s no longer a secret that many banks receive high margins on fund products or with custody account fees in their Pillar 3a offering. These high fees reduce your old-age provision year after year.
